unfolds a story of love, faith and suspense

Based on Ian McEwan's best-selling novel of the same name, Enduring Love unfolds a story of love, faith and suspense, and how life can change in an instant. On a beautiful cloudless day, Joe Rose (Daniel Craig, the new James Bond in Casino Royale) and his girlfriend Claire (Samantha Morton) are celebrating their reunion with a picnic when a balloon accident disrupts their tranquillity, and in the ensuing rescue attempt a man is killed. In attending to the injured man, Jed Parry (Rhys Ifans), a bystander who witnesses the tragic accident, and Joe exchange a passing glance, which carries devastating consequences and indelibly burns an obsession into Jed's mind. Delusional and dangerous, Jed's fixation gradually uproots Joe's life; testing the limits of his beloved rationalism, threatening the love of Claire and driving him to the brink of murder and madness. Daniel Craig was named British Actor of the Year at the London Critics Circle Film Awards for his role as a man on the edge of collapse in this film by Roger Michell.
